Don't miss out on a visit to Kirstenbosch, one of the most beautiful Botanical Gardens in the world nestled against the slopes of Cape Town's Table Mountain. 2013 is a milestone year as the garden celebrates its Centenary! *100 Blooming Years*

You don't need a holiday, you need Cape Town

We think this official slogan of Cape Town Tourism sums it up. As most of our design studios are based in the beautiful city of Cape Town, also affectionately known as the Mother City, here’s a few things not to miss! Cape Town Design Capital of the Year 2014

In 2014, Cape Town was World Design Capital of the Year.
The central theme behind the city’s successful bid,
“Live Design. Transform Life”, focused on the role that design can play in social transformation in the city.

Design Indaba & Conference

Design Indaba is a 100% local-is-lekker celebration of South Africa’s ingrained creativity. Advertising, architecture, craft, décor, film, fashion, graphic design, interior design, jewellery, new media, publishing, product design and visual media, are all presented. Setting a high curatorial standard, all products are original, contemporary and innovative, not to mention conceived and manufactured in South Africa. Next year's Design Indaba Festival & Conference will take place in Cape Town from 21 - 23 Feb 2018.

Biblionef SA

Biblionef South Africa, a children's book agency based in Cape Town, was founded by former ambassador Max Vegelin van Claerbergen. The organisation provides brand-new books in all 11(!) official South African languages. I was happy to volunteer with them in 2010. The books, including books in braille, are donated to needy children's schools, hospitals and libraries in townships, informal settlements and in remote rural areas throughout South Africa. Please help us in supporting their 1 Million Books Campaign for 2016.
